Charlotte and Leonard,

I had a lot of my work done at ABC Nissan. Believe it or not, they have a guy
there who has done a lot of work on these cars. He worked on our motor,
including replacing a worn-out distributor and fixing a reversed piston ring.
After he was done, it passed emissions and ran like a charm. Unfortunately, the
real datsun guru, Buzz Walker at Eastern Sun, has retired (but his shop may
still be there, under new management). They were on Butherus; give them a call.
Best of luck.

We have given up on trying to troubleshoot the overheating problem on our 64
1600, and have decided to let someone who knows what they're doing take a crack
at it. Our mechanic doesn't feel comfortable working on it, so we're looking
for someone who does. Any mechanics in Arizona (even better if in the greater
Phoenix area) out there? We also need to repair the cracks in the trunk where
the fuel tank mounts...
