head work

hi all,

with my inability to locate a reason for overheating im considering
rebuilding an iron head that I have and installing it along with a new head
gasket. it is the only other thing I can think of from everyone's
suggestions. what can I expect to pay? I have the old set of valves from the
head. can these be re-used? Anything I should be aware of? this is the first
time I will have done something like this so any tips will be appreciated.
