(OT) Primitive firearms assistance

Sorry for the OT posting guys and gals, but I know that there are some 
hunters/firearms enthusiasts among us and I trust that they will give me the 
straight information...

Is anyone out there in Datsunland into black powder firearms?  (got a spare CVA 
cannon lying about that you no longer want? ;-) )  

I need to get an unbiased opinion about a particular product.
