FWIW: ok. as a general rule, it's against the law in most states to protect property with deadly force. one glaring exception is from the lone-star state. there a man shot and killed another man attempting to re-possess the first man's pick-up truck. the killer was not prosecuted, and the law cited was written to protect persons from horse thieves who might leave you stranded miles from anywhere if one stole your horse. |
