Hi Sid (and sorry about the wasted bandwidth to all!),

Felt guilty about misreading your post so I went and pulled a stud from
my engine and measured it.

The upper water pump stud is 4-1/8 inches long, and is 8mm diameter
(thin). Metrics! 8mm x 1.25 thread. The engine block side is threaded
7/16 inch length, while the water pump side is threaded 3/4 inch length.

I couldn't easily get to the lower stud (thicker), but it should be the
same length, although it is a 10mm diameter stud, and it is threaded for
a 1 inch length (as 10mm x 1.25 thread) on the water pump side. And that
is a standard tap/die combination.

Hi Sid,

Forget what I said. It's late, and I misread your post - WATER PUMP.
Thought you meant the water thermostat housing studs. I don't have a set
of the water pump studs handy.

Sorry - Fred
