 If you can, get a buddy to observe the clutch lever as you press on the
pedal.
The slave cyl. Should push the lever about 1" or so to release the throwout
bearing.
No movement means no fluid or cylinder(s) siezed.
Replacement is fairly straight forward.
Do both cylinders as a pair, perhaps a new flexible line as well. 
You can pour de-natured alcohol (methylated spirits)
through the rigid line to flush out any gremlins.
