Wycrocers,
We had a baby boy today via C-section at 5:15 pm . We went in for an
aversion this morning (turning the baby from a breached position) at 7:30,
which was not successful. In fact, during the movement the spinal cord was
pinched putting the baby in distress. Heart rate dropped below 60 for a
short period. He recovered fine but due to low amniotic fluid there was a
risk of the cord pinching at home without the monitor to let us know
something was wrong. He then immediately went back to a breached position
from the two o'clock position where he was repositioned. So, we had a
C-section today to deliver the breached baby at 38 1/3 weeks. He is very
healthy, and was born @ 5 lbs 5 oz. Alot of hair and very cute! (obviously
he doesn't take after me) His name is Jared Marshall Over.
Mom is fine and Dad is hanging in there despite having the easy job.
