The story I heard was the name Fairlady came from Datsun's desire to please the Emporer, who was enamored with the Broadway musical, My Fair Lady... Urban legend? Don't know, but it makes a good story. Subsequently, I decided to name my '67 after the female star of the movie version: Audrey, as in Hepburn. I always name my vehicles so I'll have something to call them when I'm pi**ed at them... besides %@*&^!)!%&*!!!! -- lonestar |
