stock wheels, which tires?

Is there a link to a chart for tire / wheel combinations? I checked the 
archives but the discussions made my eyes glaze over.... I tried though 
because I know this is asked frequently.
I have stock rims (I'm pretty sure) and want tires to fit for 
"unspirited driving", contrary to most of you :-) . I have 185 14 tires 
on the car now but they seem to have a close tolerance to the fenders.
Any help appreciated.
