Good morning,

Well I am at about a 80% completion of my rolling restoration, hopefully I
will setup a website to show the final product. But today I am working an
electrical issue, I think.

68 1600

Dashboard Gauges cluster:

Fuel gauge - not functioning - have not checked the fuel sender in the back.
I assume that I could take a resistance reading with an ohm meter on the
unit to see if it has a reading?? Is it not just a reostate?

Speedometer - reads to fast - Thanks for all of the info this one. I am
ordering the correct ration pinion for the 5 spd trans

Amp gauge - not functioning

Temp - not functioning - this is the one that scares me the most...

I have looked for a wiring schematic to see if I could figure this out, to
me since it is all of the electrical functions of the cluster, could the
entire cluster have gone bad at once? How could I test this anyone know, is
there a way to disconnect the harness from the cluster and take voltage
reading to see if they are correct?

I assume that fuel sending unit is nothing more than a reostate and that
based on the fuel level I should be able to read 1-12 VDC on the wiring
harness depending on the fuel level.

AMP - I should be able to read some amperage on the back of the cluster.

If anyone ahs any tips or a wiring schematic for the SPL311 I would greatly
appreciate the help.

Chuck

PS Where should I post photos???
