It is normal for the oil gauge to go up and down, depending on the rev'ving of
the engine. However, at idle there should still be some oil pressure (more than
zero). Now, with an old roadster gauges, things may not be accurate.
When you start the engine (after it is cold), does it show any oil pressure?
If it does, there is a good chance your oil change place used a very thin oil ,
as prescribed on newer cars (5/20). Not the best to use on old roadsters.You
may wish to try a thicker oil (maybe a straight 30 Weight , or even 20/50).
Your oil pressure should increase using a thicker oil.
