Realizing that I am coming real late to this discussion I would like to
throw in one thing. Now that we're 25 years past all the voodoo and old
wives tales. I suggest you do yourself and pretty much the rest of the
civilized world a favor and use the resistor plug BPR6ES . Everyone with
a cellphone , computer , computer game , TV , radio , Walkman .
Blackberry , Wi-fi , etc. , etc . will thank you. They will not effect
or hurt the car nor will they need to be replaced more often. Look at it
this way . Your lawnmower has a resistor plug , shouldn't your car ?
And why you ask does the manual say to use BP6ES ? Because it's the same
manual that has you using shellac to seal paper gaskets and grease to
seal cork ones. They don't even suggest silicone sealer .... despite the
fact they will later have one of if not the very best ones on the market
! (999MP-A7007 I think) We've come a little ways since the manual was
written , sometimes for the better ! They may eve be easier to find.

Thanks,
Durf
