sorry - meant to say do I need to have the pedal bent at a more upward
angle? it moves up and down when connected to the shaft; I suspect it
should not have that much play. but there is not enough travel to fully
open the carbs

put the carpet in, and realized that it really limited accelerator pedal
travel. then I realized it was no longer a tight fit on the linkage shaft
that it bolts to. then I realized that even without the carpet, it doesn't
really get full travel.
do I have the pedal bent at a more upward angle?
suggestions? surely I'm not the first to encounter this.
