Just spent a pleasant evening having a bite to eat and a beverage or two with
Joe Alexander and Kent Howard. As faithful listeners recall, these two are
driving from The Great Flat Spot (somewhere in the midwest US of A) to the
Triumphest event in San Ramon, California. Of course, they are doing this in
a Triumph, a red TR4A to be a bit more specific. No major problems so far,
the snow storm in Cheyanne, Wyoming may have been a bit unexpected, but no
harm, and losing a speedometer is not quite life threatening. I dug out one
of my right angle speedo cable drives, though the source of the problem is yet
to be found. As we headed out of Salt Lake Pizza and Pasta, we were accosted
by my buddy Pugs, who forced us to duck into Fiddler's Elbow and have another
round. Life is rough. Wish *I* were going to Triumphest. Oh well.
