Saw this on the wheel to wheel list. Those of you who were discussing the
early history of the Runoffs may wish to compare memories. The author, Rocky
Entriken, is a longtime Spitfire racer, mostly autocross these days, I
believe.

Most of the time the stuff I write commercially finds its way to its
intended readers, but I just finished up a project W2Wers might find
interesting but may not come across without a pointer. It's a six part
series on the history of the Runoffs and SCCA's National Championship for
Speedvision.com
Not that easy to find, actually. Its archive path is a bit convoluted, so if
you click on

in the archive queue and all the stories should be there.
Five parts are up now, one more to come.
Scroll down to "The first SCCA National Champions" for Part 1. The later
ones all begin "The Runoffs...".
There also is a button on the Speedvision.com home page, on the blue bar on
the righthand side. Just under the Runoffs countdown. It would take you to
the most recent story of the set.
