Jack,

I have never heard of a kit car body made from or to resemble the Type 14
Elite. In its original form the Elite was a glass fibre reinforced
plastic monocoque and had no metal framework. Someone may have cut the
body section off for the project You can buy a complete body / monocoque
unit today in fiberglass or , I believe in carbon fibre if the funds are
available but that has all come about fairly recently. 

There was a car that was about the size of the Elite that was a body to
be fitted to a frame. Some were actually built on a purpose built tube
frame. That was the Heron Europa. I don't think most would mistake it for
an Elite though.

Sounds like it might be an interesting project. It could certainly be
made light.
