Rumor had it on Friday AM that there were reports of pilfering in the
paddock. I have no idea what was taken, but the internal security people
were really busy all morning on Friday warning people to lock things up.
But as far as the Sherriff thing goes... I never saw that before at
Mid-Ohio. As long as nobody got hurt or stuffed in the can, I'm okay with
a bit of presence.
Besides, maybe the local sherriff department had budget cutbacks and they
were looking for a little spending money for their own race cars...
