We recently had what I consider to be a bad experience with White Post. I
have had them do 4 jobs for me in the last 5 years or so and 2 of them have
gone bad in a big way. The most recent was a '67 sprite dual master
cylinder. They insisted on not only sleeving the cylinder but also
rebuilding it to "make sure it was done correctly," at an additional cost of
course. WE installed the cylinder and bled both clutch and brakes. The
clutch made "squishing" sound and the pedal would sink to the floor and the
car would start to move when standing in gear as at a stop light. The brake
pedal was low and would pump up. We worked extensively to try to get the
pedals high and firm, but could not. We sent the cyl. back and they claimed
that they could find nothing wrong with either side of the master. They
sent us a "different" master cylinder ass. We installed it and it works
fine.
We lost over 6 hours of time and next day air shipping charges and
"Billy's" reaction was "well I'm glad it is working now".
When asked about all of the time and agravation his only reaction was that
he was glad that it was working now.
