My apologies, I did not intended to create a FOT discussion with my
original email. I will in the future direct any of middle eastern observations
to those of you who I know are interested. I simply got lazy and thought
labeling nonTriumph would suffice.
In the end, I am just a good old boy from rural Wisconsin who by fate
married into a Middle Eastern family. Its been a real education, especially
for Christian who family's religion of choice still believes that the earth is
slightly under 6,000 years old.
Frankly, we were raised believing that Catholics were going to go to visit
the devil because they prayed to Mary. When I met my wife I knew nothing about
her religion and shocked to find out that the biblical Jesus was a prophet in
the Moslem faith and that parts of Bible were used in Moslem teachings.
The long and the short of it was that this good old boy has realized
that there is a lot of misunderstanding between the Arab and Americans. So I
try, in my own way, to help foster better understanding by letting people know
when there are significant differences in the media accounts.
