I race a FP spitfire in SCCA
I just unearthed a 40 year garage queen from my garage, making room for the
overhaul of the spit after overreving it and finding copper in the oberg. I
am thinking of trying vintage with it.
Where do I go to get the differences between the organizations and what I
need to do with the car. I last raced it in 1964 or so. It is Mark Donahues
old Daimler SP250. It has a roll bar that has bolts in shear and the stock
fuel tank. Basically a stock car, wire wheels, wind screen, with a roll bar
and a isky cam. Mark was thinking of putting it back on the street and I
could do that also but maybe vintage would be more fun.
Too old for a log book but I have several of the Old stickers on the inside
of the glove box door, and pictures and entry in programs from Daytona Paul
Whiteman Cup races.
