Just as the notes on Remembrance Day arrived someone from the Australian War
Memorial came on the radio (it's already 11 November here) who reminded
people what the day was about. Appears that 11 November marks the day
(1918?) that fighting ceased on the Western Front and was them called
Armistice Day. Change to "Remembrance" was appoarently because it had a more
permanent ring to it than the temporary nature of the word "armistice".

Lots of red poppies at the train station this morning.
