We saw one of those on a Mini at Hallett a couple years ago and that is
what got us into looking at alternator alternatives (say that three
times fast!) since we would lose a point at CVAR without one -- the
Kubota cost about $180 new. It was a three-wire alternator. Brad found
one on eBay that was the same thing but was a Nippondenso one-wire, for
$129 new, and got it for Tristan. It works great and has made the car
more reliable, in both our opinions. Bear in mind this was probably two
years ago, so prices may be different now.
