Good point. I just responded to an ad for a Suburban, turns out the dealer
has two, one with the tow package and one without. Here's what he says you
get with a Chevy tow package:

"The tow package is factory installed. The code on the Suburban (1999)
shows that it has Heavy Duty Trailering Provisions factory installed. This
includes oil cooler, transmission cooler, heavy duty springs to carry extra
load, heavy duty shocks, higher out-put alternator, trailer hitch, wiring &
plug."

No heavy duty brakes, though.
