We used to run nothing but shaved street tires in H production, then the
Yokohama A008's came along and anyone running street stuff was at the back
of the pack automatically. 

The current Hoosier 205/60 15 DOT Radial is a hell of a tire if you can fit
it. Absolutely magic on Peyote. this tire is basically a grooved slick. 

The biggest problem with 50 series tires is that they look butt ugly on our
cars. You need some sidewall for the tire to fill the well.
