Hi Jack, All my big failures have been #2. It appears to be the shearing of the bolt in one case and a breakage of the rod shaft in all the others. I'm not smart enough to determine if the initial problem was the rod or the bearing. All my failures have been balanced, lightened street rods. I've yet to throw a Carillo rod.
