[FOT] Expensive Spitfire thick flange aluminum bell housing available

I'm dealing with a gent out in west Arkansas that has an early Spitfire 3
synchro gearbox with aluminum bell housing on it.  He won't part with the
bell housing separately (no surprise there) and by the time the trans is
delivered it'll be about $225.

 

That raises 2 questions.

 

1)       What's an aluminum bell housing really worth?

2)       Anyone need one?
