the .010 is specified to take up the .014 at the valve
when the approximate rocker ration is factored in.
This gives you that actual "seat to seat" number.
The .050 does not give seat to seat info.  I like seat to
seat because i like to know exactly where the intake
closes and degree off that number.

a old pushrod bondoed or epoxied into an old lifter works
very well at minimizing repeatability problems.



working with an assembled valve (especially without
a soft "test" spring will drive you nuts trying to get
repeatable results due to delection.
