I spent the time and $$$ to use all AN hardware for stressed
fasteners.  Grade 8 are not rated for shear, and in that respect,
are no better than G5.  Nice thing about AN is that if you put
in the time looking for correct-length bolts (i.e., have no more
that 2 threads exposed after torquing), you end up using
shorter bolts which saves weight.  Maybe a whole pound!
