After going to the site in question I was curious about the carbs they
claim to use. I did some research and found two companies using
Mikunis on vintage and scca cars. Wolf racing is the US importer, they
use the twin two barrel setup with 44 or 50 mm in their Datsuns.
Vintage Performance uses two single barrel HSR 45 flat slides. These are
direct replacements for the SU's and bolt right up.
They are highly coveted by the Harley crowd. After some surfing and
phone calls I found the HSR's for $ 300.00 each.
Vintage Performance want's $ 765.00 for the pair. If they would offer to
jet them for 5000 feet I might give it a shot.

Their using them on Volvo P1800's. Wolf claims to get 30 - 40% increase
in HP over stock which sounds optimistic.
V/P was a bit more realistic, they said it depends on the motor ( good
answer ) but they are getting better results
on the dyno over stock SU's on all motors. I read somewhere else the
flat slides actually create more velocity and atomization.
It's an interesting subject and Iv'e been a big fan of Mikunis for 30
years, their bike carbs are bullet proof.
