Robert,

I have Spax tube shocks on my TR4A racer with Richard Good's springs and sway
bar and have no squat. It should be noted that Triumph Tune has several rear
springs sets available and you may need to consider a set with a higher spring
rate and/or a conversion to tube shocks. Their softest spring rate is 420
lbs/inch and those springs are blue with a color code of green, yellow, yellow
with a fitted length of 8.85 inches.

Now a question to listers. I have Goodparts front and rear springs that were
installed by the previous owner. They cause the car to be noticably higher in
the rear (the rear camber adjustment is not causing the rear being high). The
spring rates for the Goodparts springs are 390 for the front and 470 for the
rear. I see in Goodparts web site that rears may available with a 550 spring
rate from him however they are not listed to be ordered so I assume I have the
470s. (Richard, is there a way to visually tell your 470s from the 550s?)

I have sourced a set of Triumph Tune rears that have a spring rate of 550
which when installed have the car sitting level. The question I have is; with
rears of 550 lbs/inch would I have a dangerous oversteer if I keep the 390s in
the front?

Thanks,

Dan
