[Healeys] Ram Flo foam air cleaner oil

I put the Ram flo foam air cleaners on my BJ8 so long ago, I am sure there was 
no instructions to oil the foam after washing. There seems to be now. I tried 
some replacement foam, the green stuff with some KN spray on oil and it sure 
makes a mess. It just seems to be transmission fluid anyway. I think I will get 
the original Ram Flo foam but is the oil really necessary?Ken Freese65 BJ8
