essors. </li><li>Road America was incredible to work with as a sanction=
ing body. They were flexible and supportive leading up to the event an=
d through-out the weekend. This said, we did run into some challenges w=
ith this size of an event but Road America staff made note on several occasi=
ons the professionalism of Kastner Cup participants. We all really rep=
resented Kas well here.</li><li>We worked hard at making sure both race=
entries and street Triumphs were accommodated, presented, and together in t=
he paddock. With the number of overall race entries to the WIC, we were maki=
ng adjustments in the weeks and days leading up to the event for=
street and race paddock parking. We really appreciated everyone's =
;flexibility in changes and approach.</li></ul><div>A peek behind the scenes=
for just a moment:<br></div><ul><li> Grid position for the Kastner Cup=
race was determined by the very seasoned and helpful timing and scoring sta=
ff at Road America based on the qualifying sessions on Saturday. Not a=
ll cars participated in qualifying which resulted in the grid presented for S=
unday's race. Good feedback from drivers and the Grand Marshal proved v=
ery helpful and is an example of where RA staff were flexible in working wit=
h us. 3 trips to timing and scoring Sunday morning corrected the grid b=
ut didn't perfectly translate to false grid staff and running order.&nb=
sp; For those racing participants on false-grid on Sunday, you experienced a=
bit of delay as we continued to work with the grid marshal to make "most" o=
f the corrections. Thanks for your patience and feedback.</li></ul><di=
v><br></div><div>To add to Brian's comment, "it takes a village":<br></div><=
div><br></div><ul><li>Throught-out the past year, Grand Marshal, Joe Alexand=
er, provided invaluable feedback and counsel to make this event happen. =
; The important relationship with Kas firmly sustains the future of the Kast=
ner Cup. </li><li>Curt. Your process oriented approach we s=
imply tried to build-upon your success. </li><li>2017 Kastner Cup Chair=
s: Brian Garcia and Jason Ostrowski. Their experience hosting the 2017=
Kastner Cup and connections with RA proved invaluable. We were able t=
o leverage many of their ideas and efforts and for this event Brian Garcia r=
eally laid the groundwork with RA to make it all happen. Many meetings=
and phone calls. </li><li>The topic of the Kastner Cup grid for Sunday=
is important as it is a great example of how well everyone works toget=
her for the Kastner Cup event each year and this is where I really want to h=
ighlight <b>Henry Frye</b>. Henry was back in Connecticut working=
up spreadsheets for the running order. This was never asked of Henry,=
not planned, but immensely valuable. We were able to take Henry's ana=
lysis to timing and scoring and make changes to the grid. So, th=
anks to Henry. Well played at an important moment. </li><li>Bob J=
ohns and family: Your feedback is always on-point. Your attendan=
ce is very much a highlight of the Kastner Cup weekend. Thank-you.</li=

the head as soon as I got back from Road America and I've been playing catc=

f you that attended the Kastner Cup last weekend. All that were there c=
an attest to the fact that this was no small event. With 500+ cars and=
thousands of spectators it is difficult for a group to stand out but we did=
. =46rom the cars on display at the welcome dinner, to the FOT members=
involved with and honored at the HOF induction, to the parade and concourse=
Friday night, and all weekend on the track you shined in the spotlight.&nbs=
p; I hope you enjoyed your time there. I can tell you first hand that w=
