I have one BJ8 in the registry whose information came in an official envelope
from Buckingham Palace, so there is still a Healey connection to royalty!
It's a Canadian spec car, by the way, despatched to Montreal on 25 September
1964.

Its a holiday weekend here in Australia ,officially to celebrate the
Queens birthday, even though it is not her actual birth date.Maybe it
  gets her more presents
I believe that Prince Phillip had expressed an interest in a Healey and
so Brian Healey was dispatched to the Royal Household in a suitably
prepared car with a bucket and chamois.Near to the Palace Gates Brian
stopped and cleaned the 100 andthen drove to the gates where he was
ushered in .Phil[as he is known in Aust.]came out and was introduced to
Brian and the other Healey. The Healey stayed at the Palace for approx. a
week before it was returned to Healeys.
Apparently Phil. was happy with the 100 but Palace authorities did not
think it appropiate and so we the decendants and loyal Healey family
have been denied a royal connection---still the holiday will be very
  nice.
  Regards Joe
