Hi Clyde -

Yes definitely. There's really only one company that
is perfectly suited to doing this - Crown Worldwide.
www.crownworldwide.com . I actually know the CEO &
Founder (he's an American who lives and works in Hong
Kong) and their operation is first rate all the way.

Unlike 99.9% of moving companies and freight
forwarders, crown worldwide controls both ends of the
shipment... from pickup to delivery. This allows them
the ability to give you a complete quotation, up
front, on the total costs associated with shipping
(alot of freight forwarders will only quote the pickup
and delivery costs to the other port... but won't tell
you the port charges and customs on the other end...
whereas crown is a specialist at being up front about
the total costs). I also note that Crown has offices
in both Texas as well a J'berg. I doubt anyone else
does....

I shipped my healey from San Francisco to Hong Kong
and I was completely impressed with Crown's
professionalism and care for the car. They put it in
a 20 ft container and had it completely blocked in
place --- there was no way it would have moved even in
the roughest seas.

Despite their level of service, their costs are very
competitive with trying to do it yourself with a
couple of dodgy freight forwarders (especially in
South Africa... very dodgy!). Better to keep it with
one shipper like Crown.

Good Luck,

Alan
