Our first short road test was AFTER sundown. This car is equipped still
with a stock Lucas system.
During our second and longer road test the air temperature in Eastern
Washington was 103.
There have been no glitches so far.
The coach work on this car is fine with us. But AH suppliers and I have
spent a year doing mechanical rebuilds for this car - king pins, calipers,
bearings, shocks, servo, splines, radiator and other incidentals. Getting the
grill and surround installed correctly was one big accomplishment for me.
Two initial reports to the list:
Rear brake drums have been balanced. Skuttle shake is zero.
Fender mount mirrors are mounted at the rear of the 'Parker Pen -
inspired' fender trims. One thing I'll say about this mounting location: The
right side mirror is viewable without looking around the inside rear view
mirror.
We have had a very good time with this car so far. Thank you list !
