Hello and Help!

The other day I was driving along and attempted a down shift. The clutch pedal
went part way down and stopped. Upon being released and the clutch being
applied again the clutch mechanism worked properly. The next day after the car
had been driven several miles the clutch was applied and the pedal went down
but upon release the clutch did not engage. After the pedal was pumped twice
then it worked normally for the rest of the ride. Now it catches every once in
a while the clutch is actuated a number of times with the car sitting the the
garage.

There was some discussion of a similar problem several weeks ago where the
problem was possibly with the rubber tube which is between the clutch master
cylinder and the clutch slave cylinder. Is this possibly my problem? Or am I
looking at something more serious?

Your help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Max
