The mechanical advance system on my BN 2 distributor self distructed.
One of the weights broke in half, the spring sets and pivots are badly
damaged and the mounting plate looks suspect. The damage would probably
have been worse but the drive shaft shear pin did its job. Moss lists
these parts as NA.
Can anyone recommend a distributor rebuilder?
The only good news in this event is it occurred while warming up in our
driveway at the start of a 600 mile round trip through some very remote
areas.
