Can someone tell me what the correct finish is on the rear brake cylinder
retaining plate and spring (those U-shaped plates which interlock to secure
the brake cylinder in place to the backplate)?
Also I'm thinking about zinc plating and then oxide blackening the springs
which hold the shoes to the drums rather than painting black because I think
they'll resist corrosion better. Any problem with that?
