What is the finish on the L-shaped lever anchored to the upper member near

radiator that connects the release pull rod with the hood latch mechanism?
I
have checked both the Concourse Guidelines and the Anderson/Moment books,
but
they only address the elements on either side of the lever but not the
lever
itself. Is it plated zinc or painted black or body color?
