Jim,

Peter Roses, who also has a BN6 had the same exact problem a couple of weeks
ago--he drained his oil for 24 hrs then filled it up, then had no oil
pressure. It took a lot of spinning to get it back up.

Doug Reid advises taking the plugs out and spinning the engine till you get
pressure. Hema, a long time Healey, Riley, etc, British car guy in my area,
advises putting your hand over the gauge and cranking for a while before
looking--he says he has to do that on his TD every time he changes the oil.

Paranoids fill the filter and you can also use a pump oil can to inject oil
through the pressure sender hole directly into the gallery--this should fill
the pump from the top.
