Hi Dave,
I'm not a brake expert, but it sounds to me like the vacuum piston could be
sticking to the vacuum cylinder in your brake servo. I believe that the
original type (Girling) brake servo assembly is no longer available.
Should you wish to have your original assembly rebuilt, I can highly

CA, telephone 408-292-1305.
I recently had my brake servo rebuilt by these guys (mine wasn't sticking,
the gland seal leaked, and all the fluid was sucked into the servo). Since I
installed the rebuilt assembly, there hasn't been a problem.
