Most correct form, I believe, is "New Original Stock" though folks often say 
"New Old Stock." The term is generally applied to parts and components 
manufactured and sold while the car in question was still being manufactured,

since the sources usually were the inventories of dealers and repair services 
that had bought the parts when the cars were new, and then went out of 
business before using the part.
Not to be confused with modern-manufactured parts, even if they have the same 
brands as original, come in boxes with the original brand names on them, and 
are presented as being to the original specs, since rights to most of the 
original brand names, such as Lucas electrical parts and Dunlop wire wheels 
have 
been sold and resold several times and are now being manufactured by companies 
with absolutely no connection to the original company.
