"Munzo" is close. Its a Muntz Jet, built by Earl "Madman" Muntz from 1950 to
1954. This gentleman had made a fortune selling used cars and TV sets, and
when he visited Frank Kurtis' shop in Glendale, CA, he liked the Kurtis
2-seater so much he bought the entire factory and moved it to Evanston,
Illinois. Muntz changed the design to a 4-seater and changed the motors from
Ford to Cadillac and then Lincoln. Alloy panels changed to steel, making it
heavy, but still pretty quick. The metal top was removable, but no soft top
was ever offered. At $ 5500.00 it was too expensive and only 400 were built.
