Lynn,
First of all, early BT7 or a BT7 Mk.2?
Second, there should be two, you refer to your horn in the singular.

If you have an early BT7 the pair of horns should be mounted up high either
side of the forward shroud support, right behind the grillle. These would be
high and low note Lucas Altette horns, extremely rare and hard to find, but
if you can get it apart, easy to clean and tune.
The biggest problem with them is corrosion. The outer ring will corrode and
split at the 6 screw hold down points. Also to get it apart the 6 screws
have to come out and they are steel screws threaded into an alloy casting
for the last 45 years.

If your car is a BT7 Mk2 (tricarb) the horns are a pair of the later series.
These also can be adjusted and tuned, but to get these apart, rivets must be
drilled out, then replaced with new ones after.

Bottom line on both of these is if it's working at all, there's a good
chance it doesn't have to come apart and can usually be adjusted by trimming
the diaphragm with the external slotted trim screw.
