Ammeter

I would like to install a temporary ammeter in my BN1. (No, I won't be
drilling holes in the front of the dash.)  How should the meter be wired?

>From the shop manual, there are two wires (labeled 33) that connect to
terminal A on the voltage regulator.  It looks like the meter could be
connected in series between A and the two number 33 wires.

Alternatively, perhaps the meter could be easily connected in series between
the other end of wire 33 at the starter solenoid.  Comments?
