Someone mentioned checking the tire age code on our tires.  I know there 
is one, but can anyone tell us how to interpret the code to get the date 
of manufacture?  Is it a consistent code, throughout the industry and 
across all manufacturers?

Also, would it have some significant effect on the useable age of tires 
if the car was always garaged, vs. always stored outside in the sun?
