Hi, Bill -

I made a tool out of sheet metal (steel) to make installing the seal and
clips easier, without removing the door panel. It's about an inch wide, and
looked at edge-on, it looks like a tall S. The width of the curve at one
end of the S is narrow enough to go down into the door between the seal and
the door frame at the top of the door. The curve at the other end of the S
is for your finger.

You put a clip into the business end of the tool with the open side of the
clip facing up. Feed the tool down into the door, making sure the clip
stays in place and manipulate it to position the clip on the seal and door
flange, then pull up on the tool to force the clip over the seal and flange.

Hello fellow healey list:

How is the seal (driver's side) door top installed, does one have to remove
door panel etc. to get the the clips that hold the rubber seal on?

Thank you in advance
