Quite a few of us over the years both in and outside of Australia have
purchased spare parts from or had our carburettors refurbished by Bill
Bressington at SU Midel in Sydney. Some years back Bill purchased the
remaining stocks of SU spares from Leyland in the UK and brought it all
out here in a number of shipping containers.
To send a set of grungy, corroded and worn SU carbs to Bill and to
receive them back looking pristine and like new was a delight that many
of us have experienced.
Sadly I have just heard that Bill has lost a long fight with cancer and
has passed away. His good humour and friendliness will be sorely missed
and his passing leaves a huge vacuum in the world of carburettors.
