has anyone else noticed a change in how your car is running since the
changeover to summer gas. i filled up a few weeks ago and noticed an immediete
knocking and pinging under a load. i thought i got some bad gas and after
running it down to half i filled up with a different brand. helped some but
still not like before. ran that tank down and filled up with a different
brand and 91 octane instead of 89, which i had been using all winter. helped
a lot, but every once in a while when taking off, i can hear the slight
pinging. i have not changed anything ignitionwise. i seem to remember going
through this when the started putting in the MBTE or whatever in portland.
could it be the ethanol they are putting in now? any guesses?
