Jim,
You can also just spray it with clear, which makes it black and glossy
and is easy to renew in a couple years.  High gloss polyurethane works
well.

i have tried cleaning up my old trafficator with no luck.  it is dull and
looks grungy since it sat outside many years i guess.  what is the recommeded
cleaning technique.  tried fine sandpaper but did not seem to work well.   i
remember guys on the list stating to use shoe polish, but this thing is not
that far along yet.  thanks for any help.  healeymanjim
